GETTING THERE By air: Fly from Lusaka to Jeki Airstrip followed by 15-minute drive to the Zambezi River, and a scenic 40-minute boat transfer to the camp. Alternatively, guests can enjoy a 75-minute game drive from Jeki airstrip to Chiawa Camp OR arrive via boat from Old Mondoro: Boat transfers take 1 hour 20 minutes – a stunning activity. Please note, Proflight no longer flies to Royal airstrip.
HOW EXCLUSIVE 8 Superior Tents and 1 Safari Suite. Chiawa Camp will accept up to 18 guests in one group booking, but only 16 guests for separate bookings. The Safari Suite accommodates 2 adults and 2 children.
CHILDREN Children from 8 years are welcome. Walking & canoeing only from 12 years. Child rates apply to children up to 15 sharing with at least 1 adult, 2nd child stays for free when sharing with 2 parents. Safari Suite can accommodate children from 5 years old, however, the rest of camp remains at 8 years+ unless booked exclusively.

Children aged 8 years and older are welcome, but children must be 12 years and older to be permitted on canoe and walking safaris.
Lower Zambezi River canoe trips are led by at least one pro guide with current experience of that stretch of the river with the other canoes being paddled by an experienced "back paddler".
Awarded the best guiding team in Africa (Safari Awards 2016), guides are highly trained and offer guests unique safari experiences on each trip. Each guide has a specialist discipline including big game walking, fishing, boating, canoeing or an eye for birding.
