SEASON

JANUARY - MARCH: HIGHLY RECOMMENDED
Congo Brazzaville has a tropical climate characterised by relatively heavy precipitation, moderately high temperatures and humidity. Odzala-Kokoua National Park lies just north of the equator where the primary dry season extends from June through September, with a shorter dry season from December through February. July and August are the driest months, and the climate is fair with average temperature ranging between 19°C and 29°C. It starts to get hotter towards the end of March.

APRIL - JUNE: SHORT RAINS AND HIGH TEMPERATURES, JUNE IS A NICE TIME TO TRAVEL
With temperatures rising steadily, the short rains begin toward from the end beginning of April with high rainfall through May. As the temperature declines gradually, rainfall drops steadily and the long dry season settles in mid-June.

JULY - SEPTEMBER: HIGHLY RECOMMEND JULY & AUGUST
July is one of the drier and coolest months, and temperatures stay fairly low right through August. Rainfall starts to increase again towards the middle of September and so does the temperature. September is usually the end of the dry season.

OCTOBER - DECEMBER: HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOVEMBER & DECEMBER
The rainy season often begins in October, which can be one of the most variable months of the year. Temperatures are high but cool down a bit in November, which can also get very humid, and this is the typical feel right through December when the rains start to simmer down.
