Welcoming Angama Mara!

17 September 2014

We are delighted to share our exciting news and welcome the brand new Angama Mara to Classic Portfolio.

Owned by renowned industry-leaders, Steve and Nicky Fitzgerald, the camp is set to open in June 2015. Suspended on the escarpment on the western border of the Maasai Mara, Angama is going to be an incredible safari experience! The lovely Swahili word ‘angama’, meaning ‘hanging or suspended in mid air’, inspired the name Angama Mara. The site completely speaks to this. From safari activities on the Mara plains to tented suites hanging on the edge of the Rift Valley with views that quite simply take your breath away, Angama is an exciting development for Kenya. It will make a fabulous addition to our existing Kenyan camps.
