Premier camps in the desert

We are pleased to share exciting developments at WOLWEDANS PREMIER CAMPS, with great feedback from Cara, Kimi and Michelle in our team who have just visited.

The release of the WOLWEDANS 2020 RATES has introduced two categories of camps: you already know and love the Classic Camps, Dunes Lodge and Dune Camp; and now, newly introduced and common-rated from NAD 9 950 pps (± US$ 700), we bring you the Premier Camps, Boulders Safari Camp, Wolwedans Private Camp, and Mountain View Suite.

STAY PAY OFFER - for every 2 nights at full rate, the next 2 nights are available at 50%.

Classic Portfolio will continue to represent the Premier Camps in our collateral, and you are welcome to contact res2@wolwedans.com for Classic Camps information.

Kenya

WHAT WE LOVE: Kenya is the one country that offers everything. From the fun and funky capital city of Nairobi to the pristine beaches along the coast - Kenya offers Fantastic diversity. The gorgeous Laikipia with its lush landscapes is crowned by its vast conservancies, the arid Northern Frontier which is home to the colourful and proud Samburu is an experience best complemented by to the open plains of the Mara. Kenya's savannahs are rich with game, the cultural encounters are authentic, and the dramatic landscapes characterised by equatorial forests and mighty snow-capped mountains. Safaris have been the mainstay of Kenya’s tourism for many decades and it also rates as one of the top five bird-watching destinations in the world.

Machaba Camp & Little Machaba

The classic, 1950’s-style Machaba Camp and Little Machaba are situated in the 35 000-hectare Khwai Concession in the northeastern Okavango, adjacent to Moremi Game Reserve. The name Machaba is the local Setswana name for the sycamore fig tree, the tree of life, renowned for their abundant fruit, which feeds a vast array of animals throughout the year, including elephant, baboons, bushbuck, green pigeons and many more. The camp pathways meander between the large riverine trees.

Machaba Camp's 10 luxury tents are situated in the beautiful riverine treeline on the Khwai River, overlooking the famous Moremi Game Reserve. From these tented verandas one can watch the daily parade of animals coming down to drink at the river in front of camp. The tents and main area of Little Machaba are all on decks and overlook a large floodplain.
