Tanda Tula Transformation

29 January 2015

SOUTH AFRICA, TIMBAVATI: Breaking news!! The new style Tanda Tula Safaris is well under way creating a fresh, vibrant new look to both TANDA TULA SAFARI CAMP and TANDA TULA FIELD CAMP. Click on the link below to see the new images.

TANDA TULA SAFARI CAMP:

  • Total refurbishment of the tent interiors and decks as well as the addition of a mini bar and international plugs.
  • The bathrooms have been revamped - double vanity and frosted glass enclosed loo.
  • The main lounge is full of colour and warmth, reflecting the Tanda Tula family's spirit.
  • The pool has new, funky bean bags which also overlooks the busy watering hole.
  • As from 01 January 2015 there will be max 6 guests per vehicle (no longer 8).
TANDA TULA FIELD CAMP
  • Numerous new and interesting camp sites have been identified within the 26 500 hectares of private land.
  • Ideal for families and friends who want to connect with nature and each other. The camp offers a beautifully authentic, tented safari experience reminiscent of the pioneers of safari.
  • Tanda Tula Field Camp is a highly tailored walking safari experience - from close encounters with the Big 5 to learning about the stars.
  • Exclusive use rate is R 35 400 for up to 8 guests - interestingly enough, last season we had more 2's and 4's than 8 people staying at a time.
The re-designed Tanda Tula Star Bed will be ready in March - the under-the-stars elevated deck has incredible views over the Timbavati and beyond.
Bookings are being taken now - R 1 500 per person, non-commissionable.

This sole-use safari villa, where the smallest detail of your stay is planned according to your specific wishes, is perfect for family holidays, parties or groups of friends. The welcoming villa with its four en-suite bedrooms are cleverly designed around the central courtyard and its large, inviting swimming pool, while the interiors humorously combine traditional mid 20th century furniture with the latest in South African design. Our favourite is the interactive farm-style kitchen which invites guests to try a hand at combining flavours under the cheerful guidance of their personal chef or if the g..
