Mwiba Lodge: Ready, Set, Go!

23 October 2014

TANZANIA, MWIBA LODGE: Vast and privately controlled, this exquisite 51,000 acre wildlife reserve adjoining the Southern Serengeti is a secluded haven. Set amongst massive stone boulders, ancient coral trees and acacias, overlooking a rocky gorge on the Arungusinyai River, Mwiba Lodge is a design masterpiece.

IN SHORT:

  • Easy Access: Launching new seasonal flights with Northern Air offering daily access between Arusha and Manyara into the private Mwiba Airstrip. These flights service many of the camps in the Southern Serengeti and operate between 15 December and 31 March.  At other times of the year TFC operate daily flights.
  • The Calving Season: From January to March Mwiba offers game drives on the Southern Serengeti plains around Ndutu to experience the wildebeest calving.
  • Migration Combination: From June to September Mwiba is the perfect partner to camps in Northern Serengeti. At this time of the year the rivers attract the non migratory wildlife and the area has big game and excellent cat sightings.
  • Open all year round!
  • Suggested Itinerary: A wonderful opportunity to combine the best of Northern Tanzania with THE ULTIMATE NORTHERN CIRCUIT itinerary.
