Chem Chem announces opening of their new private airstrip

Chem Chem Safaris is excited to announce their new airstrip is now available for private charters.

Easily connecting with other classic safari destinations such as the Serengeti, Lake Eyasi, and further afield, you can now design the perfect Tanzanian northern circuit with private air time.

The airstrip is a short 10-minute transfer from Chem Chem Lodge and only 40 minutes from Forest & Little Chem Chem. Being close means guests can make the most of their time exploring the wild (and sleep in on that day of departure).

Land at Chem Chem Lodge, be welcomed by a private guide and vehicle, and set off into the Tanzanian wild together.

Further details:

  • The airstrip is currently available for private charters only.
  • It can carry a maximum takeoff weight of 5700 kg.
  • Airstrip fees are payable directly to Chem Chem Safaris:
    • Fees are per movement (a combined landing & takeoff).
    • 1 - 4 passenger(s): US$ 60.
    • 5 - 12 passengers: US$ 100.
    • 12+ passengers: US$ 200.
    • Subject to change & 18% VAT.
  • Arrival and departure times to coincide with check-in/out times (please confirm when booking)
  • Operates from 15 minutes before sunrise until 15 minutes after sunset.
  • Maximum 3 movements per day (each movement is a combined landing & takeoff)

Kwandwe Great Fish River Lodge
