Sala’s Camp is owned and managed by proud, fourth generation Kenyans Tanya and Mikey Carr-Hartley, under the umbrella company ‘The Safari Collection’, along with Solio Lodge, Sasaab and Giraffe Manor.

The position of Sala’s Camp means that guests have a front row seat of the ‘Great Wildebeest Migration’. Game drives, guided walks, birding, Maasai cultural visits, hot air ballooning (book in advance) and star gazing from camp are hallmarks of a stay here.

The camp is made entirely from canvas manufactured in Kenya, and employs local Maasai from the area as guides and spotters. Power is primarily solar, organic waste is composted for the vegetable garden and other waste is segregated and sent back to Nairobi for recycling. Every client that stays at Sala's Camp contributes US$5 per night to the Rhino Monitoring Team to assist with logistics and training.
