Founded by Andy Hogg and Andrea Bizzaro, the company is still run from its headquarters at Mfuwe Lodge by Andy – a Zambian who used to work at Save the Rhino Trust’s Chinzombo Lodge in Luangwa.

The simplest of the camps yet undeniably charming, epitomising the old charm of safari in Africa. 5 simple, thatched rondavels set on the edge of a grassy plain, surrounded by seemingly out of place palm trees. No two outings are the same with the diverse landscapes in walking distance of the camp, including salt pans, dry river beds, mopane woodland, the Luangwa River and open plains.

For many years the safari operators in the Luangwa Valley have been working with the South Luangwa Conservation Society (SLCS) and North Luangwa Conservation Project (NLCP) to ensure continued conservation. The Bushcamp Company also run individual educational and conservation programs in the community with great success including "Charity Begins At Home".
